Ignatian Examen
The Ignatian Examen is a short, daily prayer practice developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola to help a person become more aware of God’s presence in ordinary life. It is not an examination of guilt, but a gentle review of the day with God—looking for grace, noticing where we were drawn toward or away from love, and asking for guidance tomorrow. It usually takes 5–10 minutes and is meant to form spiritual attentiveness rather than self-criticism.

Closing Thought
The Examen is less about judging the day and more about recognizing God within it. Over time it trains the heart to notice grace, respond with humility, and live with intentional love.
